The Secret of My Olympic Success | Ravi Dahiya

ABOUT
In 2018, while on a pan-US motivational trip, motivator Vickrant Mahajan stumbled upon a startling fact: a single American athlete, Michael Phelps, had won two and a half times as many gold medals and as many medals in 5 Olympics as 2.25 billion Indians that had existed in the past 123 years had collectively won in 24 Olympics! Determined to change that embarrassing statistic, Vickrant returned to India and designed a revolutionary motivational program for the Indian Olympic team called the Goalete Program. Within two years, that program helped Team India set Olympic qualification records in wrestling and boxing, and became hugely instrumental in India winning 7 medals at the Olympics! Thanks to the program, Ravi Dahiya became the first Olympic male medalist for India after nine years and the first-ever wrestler to win an Olympic silver medal on debut.

True to its credo, the Goalete Program upped the ante after the Tokyo Olympics. Since its inception, the iconic endeavour has won India 14 golds and 22 overall medals at the biggest sporting tournaments globally — Olympics, world, continental and Commonwealth championships — but its renewed goal is to enable India win 100+ gold medals till 2033.
In alignment with that vision, Ravi Dahiya and Vickrant Mahajan created an initiative called Goal Is Gold Sports Foundation on 22 March 2023 to inspire the Indian sporting ecosystem to raise its aspiration and go for the finest accomplishments on the global stage.
